Psychics for Christ?

(The plight of the Christian Homosexual)

There is no group that is ostracized by the church more than the homosexual community. Many believers that are involved in a homosexual lifestyle are bound by fear and condemnation that is being placed on them by the church. The devil tries to bombard them with feelings of shame, guilt, fear, and defeat. He has convinced many that they can never come to God living the lifestyle that they are accustomed to. They are not given the love, unconditional acceptance, and the liberation that the true gospel of Jesus Christ guarantees.  The even sadder thing is that the rejection, ostracism, and the hatred they are suffering is being promulgated primarily by the ‘so called’ church!

Tonight it’s time for the sun to rise on all who battle with these identity issues. It’s O.K. to be gay! The Lord loves every person unconditionally. No one that comes to God comes on his or her own merit! We are all sinners! We come to God solely through the avenue of His mercy and grace.

I can see, by the rejection and church oppression that these poor children of God suffer, why there are so many in the homosexual community who hate Christianity altogether and opt to cast off their faith in Christ in exchange for no faith at all. I see why they are angry! I see why they are irate! I see why they are burned! They are treated like crap! They are talked about and laughed at and mocked and ridiculed and scorned! Christians should be ashamed of themselves! How can one dare to bear the name ‘Christian’ and exhibit such malice and hatred? If you call yourself a Christian, you should love all mankind! Who are we to condemn anyone as if we weren’t forgiven by the same mercy and cleansed with the same precious blood!

Again I say, It is O.K. to be gay! It’s time for us to change our attitude! It’s time for us to change our tone! What ever happened to the Christian term ‘come as you are’? The message of the cross and the message of Christ is that He took away our sin so that we all can come to God without judgment or fear or shame. In Him we should all have peace with God and with ourselves. We all can come to God and experience His favor and love. We don’t have to argue over whether homosexuality is right or wrong. Who cares? God isn’t counting! God isn’t judging! And God doesn’t care! I personally don’t care whether homosexuality is inborn or a choice. These kinds of trivial things don’t matter to me and shouldn’t matter to you! We are all born anew in Christ anyway.

God just wants us to trust in Him, have confidence in His love for us, and come to Him through the gateway that Jesus Christ provides! Through His sacrificial death, we all evil sinners have access to God by faith. We all wicked brute beasts can call God ‘Father’ and receive forgiveness, grace, mercy, adoption, sonship, and authentically be a member of the family of God. But the devil is the accuser of the brethren pitting one sin against the other. Deceiving one sinner into condemning and ridiculing another sinner! That’s nonsense! What pride! What arrogance! What unmitigated gall! What a fool you are, barely standing on the slippery slope of God’s mercy and grace yourself, to go out of your way to try and talk bad about someone else. Some people really should just cater to their own affairs. Like my grandma used to say “why is that kettle over there calling that pot black?” Indeed grandma! Indeed!

I would encourage every believer as it pertains to gay marriage and gay rights to leave your homosexual brothers and sisters in the Lord alone. You will just be frustrating the issue. The truth in Christ is not won through politics anyway. The truth is established in love. You shouldn’t use politics to try to strong-arm people into submitting to your will or judgment in regard to how they should live their lives. Again, leave them the hell alone! If you have a point, bring it to a person in love and understanding and humility. Then after that, let them use their own discerning faculties and free will to determine what decision they will make for themselves. To fight across political lines will only produce enemies. Let’s be friends! Like my grandma used to say, “You can draw more flies with honey than you can with vinegar.” Indeed grandma, indeed.

God says, “Love one another”. All we need to do is walk with God who is love, and get to truly know our own issues, and see God’s unconditional acceptance for us and the mercy He has poured without mixture into our own lives. If we know God’s love, we won’t be able to help but love others with the same fervency and with that same passion. To know God is to know love, for God is love. Anyone claiming to know God and doesn’t walk in true love for those for whom Christ died, is a liar. I often think, how can these Christians who claim to be on the side of love be exhibiting so much hate? Even if they thought they could help someone with a problem, Satan can’t cast out Satan.

Those Christians that picket and persecute gays are not Christians. They are of the devil and sent by the devil to deceive homosexuals into believing that God is against them. His aim is to offend them and discourage them in their pursuit of God till they give up and lose their faith. Don’t you let it happen to one homosexual or bisexual or transvestite or any other human being. Never let any person feel at any time that they are rejected, condemned or anything other than blessed and loved children of God. With the enemy in hot pursuit for their souls the way that he is, don’t you let one feel like the church doesn’t love and accept them and that God doesn’t love and accept them. God is calling them into His loving arms. He is embracing them with His spirit of love and whispering into their ears that they are His forever. Let us join with Him and confirm our brothers and sisters in Christ.

As we walk with the Lord and continue in His word, all things will be revealed. Walking with Him will make all of our crooked ways straight and our rough ways will be made smooth. In Christ there is no homosexual or bisexual. The bible says that there isn’t even the concept of male or female, but that we are all beloved children of God according to the spirit. We all have identity issues; some in this way and some in that way. We are all in pursuit of love, and that love is the love of God. His love and fellowship will nurture our spirit, cultivate our minds, and bring us to a place of sound judgment in every area of our lives. He promises not only to forgive us for all of our sins, but also to cleanse us of every thing in our life that isn’t according to our true self in Him. Let’s stop trying to fix others. God didn’t say fix one another. But He did say love one another. The light of love is the best fixer anyway! Let’s trust the Holy Spirit in each one to perfect them and bring them up into the person that they are called, destined, and ordained to be in Christ. LET GO AND LET GOD.
