“And this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith!”
Dearly beloved of the Father, I write today to encourage you in this battle that we, as the body of Christ and we, even as a congregation, are undergoing. As we are aware, this battle is not an ordinary battle. This battle is not a battle against flesh and blood. This battle is not a battle against entities that we can see and feel with a hand made of flesh. This battle is a battle of the soul, which is a battle of and for the mind. We fight for our souls and not just our souls, but we fight for the souls and/or minds of every man! We wrestle not against flesh and blood. Our battle is not with spears or billy clubs. No Guns, no knives, no automatic weaponry of any kind can prove useful in combating the enemies that we are facing. This is a spiritual war; and the security of all the things that we cherish and all the things that we value and all the things that we hold dear are determined by the outcome of every spiritual battle.
We must be more sober at this time than ever before in our lives. We must watch and pray more now than at any other time in our lives. We must seek God for daily direction more now than at any other time in our lives. The enemy has made preparations and intends on taking you down. The angels of the Lord have been working double time at training and preparing us for war. The enemy has been working double time to distract you with worldly cares and concerns. He wants you full of fears, being bogged down and overly concerned with natural problems and situations. He wants you to take your mind off of the kingdom of God and His will and purpose for your life and the life of our congregation. The enemy wants you to meander and wallow around in the mires of natural love, pursuing the things that are in and of the world, while he subtly robs you of your very life and destiny.
Beware the time my dear children and beloved of the father. The enemy has come down with great wrath because he knows that he only has a short time! His grip is loosening and his lies are being uncovered. You are beginning to doubt the doubts that he’s been feeding you. You are not being fooled by the enemies same old malarkey! You are questioning the chains that bind you and are discovering that they are just dust! You are beginning to shake yourself loose in Jesus’ name! He’s getting trickier, but you have the ball! Don’t let it go! He’s trying to slip one over on you, but you aren’t ignorant of the devil’s tricks. You are closer to victory than ever before. He can see it and he’s fighting you harder than ever before,IN YOUR MIND! Hold on! Now is the time to stand! Now is the time to fight! Now is not the time to look away! Now is the time to move forward in God! Get it together saints and regain your focus! You’ve come too far to give up now. The battle belongs to the Lord!
You are on the Lord’s team. You have the victory in the spirit, and through faith and patience you will see victory if you keep believing and don’t doubt. As the scripture says, “Hold fast to your confidence wherein Christ has set you free!” Spiritual warfare is about the wrestling that goes on in your psyche! This battle ensues as doubts and fears attack the faith of God within the recesses of your mind. Fears and doubts are the “fiery darts” of the spirit world. They are implanted and generated thoughts of doubt that question the truth of God’s word within you. They always challenge God as the deliverer, provider, healer, leader, counselor, protector, and friend in your life that He has promised to be. It’s easy to see that God is all of that while we are at church and singing choruses. But when the rubber meets the road in the middle of the week, those who have real faith are sorted from the perpetrators.
Will the real believers please stand up! There is a grappling and wrestling that goes on within us as we are confronted with real life circumstances and issues. We must remember that it is much easier to talk about the fight of faith than it is to walk it out in real life. As soon as a situation arises and a day of trouble comes, the enemy runs to the ears of men saying, “Where’s God?” He’s saying,“You can’t trust God!” He’s saying that based on how it looks and based on the apparent outcome, God has forsaken you. But faith never LOOKS! Faith doesn’t care about apparent outcomes! The spirit of faith only believes what God says and resists the devil’s temptations to disbelieve! Faith always wins! Faith doesn’t get discouraged! Faith doesn’t go crying,“Woe is me!” Faith says,“Victory is mine!”
Know the grace of God and don’t get blind-sided by condemnation or convinced that your sin or shortcomings have disqualified you from God’s mercies. This too is a lie from the enemy. God loves you and will never forsake you. If you are in any error or sin, know that God gives grace to the humble. He says,“Ask again and I’ll forgive you again!” He only has forgiveness and mercy for you. If He chastens you, He will never do it with a spirit of fear and disbelief. His corrections always move you from fear to faith!
I need you saints to believe God today. Believe Him like you’ve never believed before. Don’t get impatient. Don’t get discouraged. Hold fast to your confidence and don’t let the world shake you. Don’t let that doctor shake you! Don’t let that attorney shake you! Don’t let that landlord shake you! Don’t let that bill collector shake you! Don’t let that LIAR shake you! Don’t have faith in your assumed outcome; have faith in God! He can make it turn out better than you can imagine! Some folks are tricked into assuming upon an outcome and when it doesn’t happen the way they visualized it, they lose their faith and blaspheme God! Don’t be like those fools. You have faith in God and know He will reward you in the end. Pray for His favor and sit back and rest, knowing it will work out for your good.
We have been told that we as Christians are already seated in a place of victory in Christ! But I am come to tell you that this is not true! Only in the areas of Christ where we have faith, do we have victory! In our struggle, there are only two positions. There is the position of victory and there is the position of defeat. Or, I should say, the position of doubt and disbelief, and the position of faith! If you are not in faith in an area, you are still in darkness and in defeat in that area even till now. As we wrestle spiritual strongmen, the Spirit of God and the armies of heaven come to coach us and get us moving out of bondage in every area and placed intothe position of faith and victory in every area. Your spiritual adversaries come to pervert your mind away from God and to move you to places of doubt, fear, and disbelief! Both teams are vying to place you into a certain position and keep you there. Both forces are dead-set on winning; and as they wrestle for your soul, your feeble mind is twisted and stretched in between, as you loiter in the allies of mediocrity. Now is the time to stand up! Now is the time to gird up the loins of your mind! Now is the time to choose your side! Now is the time to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might! Now is the time to put on the armor of light! No more double mindedness! Don’t let them move you!
God raised the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) up, so that the body of Christ can see more realistic fighting. All things are for you, all things are yours, and all things are working together for your good. The foundations of fighting games are war and death. The UFC gives a much more realistic idea of true fighting, even though it is being accomplished by experts. It was set up to determine the best fighting style and set up so that any style of fighter could come into the ring with their own style. From martial arts to boxing to wrestling, all are welcome. You use, in the UFC whatever style you need to win, and in real fighting and war you use whatever you can to kill your enemy. In a fight for your life, there is no bellow-the-belt rule. You may get dirt thrown in your face! You may get kicked in the shin. The enemy may try to choke you out. He may try to knock your block off. He may get you in a toehold. He may throw your kids at you! He may throw your spouse at you! He may throw your mom or dad at you! He may throw your boss or a co-worker at you! You don’t know how he’s going to come at you. He isn’t going to tell you. He is trying to win. Be shrewd and ruthless too with your faith in God! Be careful. Watch and pray.
With love, your servant,
Dr. Nathaniel Duffey III
